Emma Sophia Stables

Emma Sophia Stables offers premium stabling for show jumping horses in a newly restored historic estate, which is the ideal place for sport horses to train and develop, while also giving them the rest and recovery they need.

About the Estate

Where horsemanship meets quiet beauty

Emma Sophia Stables is a show jumping facility in the village of Lichoceves, 12 km from the centre of Prague and just 7 km from Václav Havel Airport. The facility offers 47 indoor stalls with every comfort for training horses, along with amenities for riders. Following an extensive reconstruction of the historic farmstead, it became the home stable of Czech show jumping rider Emma Sophia Španko in 2023.

The first written mention of the village of Lichoceves dates back to 1088. Around 1228, the village and its farmstead belonged to the Benedictine convent of St. George at Prague Castle — Saint George still appears on the village's coat of arms today. Reconstruction of the farmstead and its courtyard at the centre of the village began in 2022, and a year later it was transformed into a professional, full-service show jumping facility.

Our Philosophy

An Oasis of Sport and Calm

Our philosophy is to provide a professional environment for show jumping at the very highest international level. A higher ratio of horses to a lower ratio of riders provides more room for growth and consistent development. Above all, we care about the health and peace of mind of our horses — something we can only achieve through this philosophy.
